The Opportunity:
UCF’s Student Success and Well-Being Office of Undergraduate Admissions is currently accepting applications for a Student Admissions Counselor I. Under the direction of the Director for Strategic Recruitment and External Relations, this position is responsible for assisting in the overall operation of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Responsibilities:
- Works with the team that oversees the enrollment and marketing plan for the university including the recruitment, application review, territory management, and travel for a specific territory or target market.
- Assists in planning, organizing, and implementation of the recruitment activities directly related to targeted groups, including but not limited to Decision Days, Open Houses, college fairs, and high school visits both face to face and virtual.
- Represents the university at public and private high school/college visitations (including conferring with college counselors and student groups), college nights and panel presentations to parents, students, and other constituent populations.
- Reviews and evaluates admission applications and academic credentials. Computes high school and college GPA’s in compliance with the State of Florida and university admission standards. Renders admission decisions on these applications.
- Maintains accurate enrollment figures of targeted groups for university information and assists in providing annual reports.
- Works closely with on-campus offices and departments that impact the recruitment of students to ensure admissions and enrollment processes are followed and information is conveyed in order to meet university enrollment goals
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

- Previous experience in admissions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong sense of initiative and creativity.
