QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

The qualifications and skill requirements for this position include:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution;
  • 2-year minimum experience in Health Science, Business, Culinary or Education;
  • Must be student oriented and have the ability to focus on multiple student objectives simultaneously;
  • Proven technology and digital literacy skills;
  • Computer proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office computer applications, the current college learning management system software, and video projection systems in the classroom;
  • Proven knowledge of instructional techniques that promote student success and student engagement;
  • Ability to deal effectively and diplomatically with diverse populations including students, faculty, staff, supervisors, and administrators;
  • Strong written and communication skills;
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to identify details and solve problems;
  • Possession of a strong work ethic along with the ability to exercise good judgment;
  • Ability to positively represent the college.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential job functions and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting and monitoring Adult Education IET student retention, progress, completion, and transitions into college/career programs, work force and employment;
  • Connecting IET students with college and community resources to overcome barriers;
  • Cultivating and maintaining college and community partnerships with the IET Collaborate of faculty and staff to implement an integrated curriculum in business, culinary and health science;
  • Provide academic support and instruction as needed;
  • Proactively manage and guide students in the IET program to obtain a high school equivalency diploma, develop English language and professional communication skills, learn and practice employability skills and earn credentials of value and industry certifications;
  • Ensure fiscal responsibility and integrity for the program including, but not limited to, products and assessments to fulfill IET credentials;
  • Assist with grant writing.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The specific duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruiting, instructing, supporting, and leading Adult Education IET students to success in an integrated Business Services/Entrepreneurship program, Culinary program and/or Health Science.
  • Serving on an IET Advisory Board;
  • Collaborating with faculty and staff in a fully integrated instructional approach;
  • Participating in department, division, and applicable college-wide meetings;
  • Traveling off-campus to participate in IET related activities such as recruitment events and other campus sites as needed for student support and collaboration opportunities;
  • Completing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires an ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and carry items occasionally in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other equipment as necessary. IRSC expects its employees to follow proper safety standards while employed by the college.

Pay range starts at: $43,888.00 | All Salary calculations start at the minimum salary and will be based on candidates education and experience | Open until filled.
