Job Summary

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Admissions Processing, the Admissions Processor is responsible for reviewing prospective freshman, transfer, post-baccalaureate, transient, and returning student application files. This position also articulates transfer credit, provides admission decisions for all student populations, and assists with counseling prospective students/families on admissions procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Enter data from applications and related documents into the Banner Student Information System and Technolutions Slate.
  • Scan and index documents using Banner Document Management (BDM) and Technolutions Slate, including downloading and indexing electronic transcripts.
  • Perform Required High School Curriculum (RHSC) evaluations and calculate high school GPAs for incoming students.
  • Articulate transfer credit information and submit course evaluations for transfer student populations.
  • Perform application updates, including term updates, personal information updates, and major changes.
  • Review application materials to determine eligibility for admission based on the requirements set by the University.
  • Assist with on-campus recruitment and orientation events throughout the year, including some mandatory events after hours and on weekends.
  • Answer routine inquiries from students, parents, and counselors concerning admissions policies and procedures.
  • Work with Admissions Counselor(s) to meet enrollment goals.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma

Required Experience

  • Two (2) or more years of related work experience (education could substitute for work experience)

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Banner student information system; experience with Technolutions Slate CRM; experience in Admission or Registrar Offices

Proposed Salary

$18.12 – $18.89 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
