In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.
Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $115,000.00

Job Summary
The Alumni and Family Engagement Director will work closely AVP, University Events
to create and implement alumni and family engagement plans. Developing and implementing a comprehensive engagement program designed to provide meaningful long-term and immediate strategies for the engagement and stewardship opportunities in support of the Universitys strategy, as well as alumni and family engagement objectives. This position will assist with alumni participation and support through integrated outreach and relationship management.
This position reports to the AVP, University Events and works closely with the Director of Alumni Giving.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Individuals must possess the knowledge, as well as the following skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
1. Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the alumni constituencies and the principles/foundation of alumni relations and annual giving initiatives.
2. Exceptional and honest communication skills, both orally and in writing as it pertains to fundraising.
3. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, strong database management and ability to produce detailed reports
4. Working knowledge in Adobe Suite applications – Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator preferred, but not required.
5. Proven ability to collaborate across complex organizations and with a wide variety of constituents.
6. Ability to effectively work with other advancement team leaders and members in devising, analyzing, modifying, implementing and evaluating overall University Advancement and development programs.
7. Ability to travel and work flexible hours on some weekend and evening projects
8. Familiarity with advancement relationship management systems preferred but not required: (Raisers Edge, RENXT)
9. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and other computer application programs.
10. Proficient knowledge of social media networks (Instagram, Facebook, X (Formerly Twitter)
11. Advanced organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills, including skill in creative and effective decision-making and problem identification/avoidance/resolution, and strong project management skills.
Required Qualifications
1. EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in related area or equivalent related experience required
2. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in program planning, alumni engagement, fundraising, financial aid, or related experience or equivalent.
