The Office of Admission at Saint Michael’s College is inviting applications for Associate Director of Admission. The Associate Director will represent Saint Michael’s College to prospective students, families, school counselors, and other constituents and serves as a trusted advisor and support for prospective students and their families throughout the admission process.

This key leadership role will serve as a member of the Admission Leadership Team contributing to the development and implementation of strategies that support enrollment success. The Associate Director will coordinate the full range of admission responsibilities.

Major Objectives:

  •  Directly manage Admission Counselors, ensuring they receive training and mentorship to gain the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in their roles
  •  Plan and execute student recruitment activities to meet goals for assigned market regions and academic programs; conduct application review and selection for assigned programs; perform functional responsibilities as assigned; meet established enrollment goals
  • Represents Saint Michael’s College to prospective students, families, school counselors, and other constituents and serves as a trusted advisor and support for prospective students and their families throughout the admission process
  • Serve as Slate CRM super user on the admission team. Participants in Slate training to continually grow and evolve knowledge of the system. Partners with Director of Admissions to define opportunities to leverage the tool to optimize admission function
  • Engages with students and constituents with a high level of inclusivity, equity, and sensitivity and displays a commitment to continuous growth and development in supporting students with historically excluded, underrepresented, and minoritized communities
  • Understands the impact, challenges, and barriers racism, inequities, bias, and systemic oppression have on student access to higher education

Applicants must have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of work experience in college admission or related field
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, especially September through April
  • Comfort with extensive overnight travel for recruiting efforts and professional development opportunities
