As part of this course, you’ll:

Explore your creativity, spatial design skills and your individual approach to develop a passion for landscape design

Gain the practical skills required to become an effective landscape architect, from nature-based solutions and retro-fitting our cities, to health and wellbeing and the radical changes needed in our rural landscapes

Study in a supportive environment in well-equipped studios in the vibrant city of Leeds. You’ll be taught by staff from diverse backgrounds with experience from landscape practice and research

Develop your environmental ethics and values through sharing ideas, teamworking and collaborating on live projects that mimic professional practice

Expand your knowledge by studying the theories that shape the practice of landscape architecture

Build the essential tools for employment in the expanding landscape architecture sector

Career

Accredited by the Landscape Institute, this course will enable you to work towards full UK chartered membership. You will develop as an enthusiastic, confident, independent thinker, team player and creative problem solver for landscape solutions, attributes which are highly sought after by employers in the industry. Previous students have taken diverse routes into environmental professions and now contribute to many high-profile national and international landscape projects. This lively group of alumni regularly contribute to our course.

A level We will consider the A-level equivalency of your specific qualifications (two A Levels or equivalent, excluding General Studies) against our entry requirements and help you through every stage of the application process. For applicants whose first language is not English, we accept the English language tests like IELTS and TOEFL. IELTS Academic 6.0 with no skill below 5.5, TOEFL iBT total of 79 to 89 Minimum for Reading (18), Listening (17), Speaking (20) and Writing (17).
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme We will consider the IB equivalency of your specific qualifications (minimum of 3 Highers of which at least 2 must be grade H5 or above) against our entry requirements and help you through every stage of the application process. For applicants whose first language is not English, we accept the English language tests like IELTS and TOEFL. IELTS Academic 6.0 with no skill below 5.5, TOEFL iBT total of 79 to 89 Minimum for Reading (18), Listening (17), Speaking (20) and Writing (17).
