Job Summary

The Campus Navigator provides academic and career pathway exploration for students of the Sturm Collaboration Campus at Castle Rock. This position aims to assist students to successfully transition to a postsecondary institution or complete their degree or certificate and find gainful employment. The Campus Navigator coordinates with Student Services to support student success activities at the Castle Rock campus including new student orientation, student activities, tutoring and writing workshops, career workshops, and low-level financial aid counseling. Participates and contributes to the process of developing the strategic plan for the extension campuses. Conducts outreach to local high schools and participates in events to recruit prospective students.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Two years of experience in a higher education setting.
  • Ability to interact with and develop effective relationships with individuals of diverse populations, including varying social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds; commitment to an inclusive learning and work environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with faculty, staff, students, and administrators, and be able to be productive in time-sensitive and at times, high-pressured situations.
  • Experience working across functional areas in a complex organization.
  • Strong collaboration, problem-solving, interpersonal, oral and written communication, and critical thinking skills required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree, preferably in education or a related field.
  • Experience utilizing student information databases such as Banner and EAB Navigate or a similar platform.
  • Experience working with industry and students to develop work-based learning opportunities including job shadowing, internships, and apprenticeships.
  • Experience advising students in career exploration and career pathways.
  • Experience with project management or event planning.

Additional Information

This position requires the ability to travel to and between ACC campus locations and throughout ACC’s service area to attend community events.
