Brief Summary of Work for this Position
Review student accounts and non student accounts to place outstanding accounts in collections status.
Generate and send letters to collections students
Assign outstanding accounts to Attorney General Office or Collection Agencies according the statues and state polices
Communicate with student, Attorney General’s Office, Collection Agency to resolve credit and collection issues.
Develop reports and provide analysis on status of collection accounts monthly.
Communicate with students to prevent account from reaching past due status and collections of past due accounts .
Provide excellent and considerate customer services, must communicate and follow up effectively with Attorney General’s Office, Collection Agencies and students in a timely manner.
Preparation and filing of debt set-off monies thru the NC Department of Revenue, Preparation and filing of accounts in debt, to send to the Office of State Budget and Management to identify the state of NC employees to collect from voluntary payroll deductions.
Reconciles loan funds and other student revenue funds and accounts.

Please note, this is a temporary position. The length of the assignment will be based on department need with the possibility of continuation. Temporary assignments cannot exceed 11 consecutive months without a full 31-day break from employment.
