American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
- This award is for U.S. students.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Must be an ethnic minority.
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program and have at least one semester left in school.
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate accounting, finance, or related business degree program or a master’s level business program. The student must have completed three or more hours of accounting classes.
- Must be a NABA student member in good standing whose membership dues have been received by NABA’s National Office no later than Dec. 31.
- Must be a Georgia resident OR enrolled in an eligible program at a college/university in Georgia.
- Must be enrolled full time (12 or more semester hours if an undergraduate student or 9 or more semester hours if a graduate student).
- Must have an overall grade point average of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. undergraduate and graduate ethnic minority students who are pursuing an undergraduate accounting, finance, or related business degree or master’s-level business degree at a Georgia college/university or are Georgia residents. Applicants must be student members of NABA and have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher. Application requirements for the NABA Atlanta Chapter Scholarship are:

Award Amount: $500 to $2,000 annually, non-renewable. The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,250.

As part of the online application, each student must provide an essay of 500 words or less responding to one of the two prompts listed on the application.
