There are two variants of the IELTS test: IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training. The IELTS Academic test is intended for individuals applying for higher education or professional registration in an English-speaking environment. It encompasses certain characteristics of academic language and gauges your readiness to commence studying or training.

The IELTS General Training test is designed for those who are embarking on educational journeys, work experiences, or training programs in English-speaking countries. It is also a prerequisite for immigration to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the UK. This test concentrates on fundamental survival skills in various social and workplace contexts. The Listening and Speaking sections remain consistent for both tests, but the content of the Reading and Writing sections varies based on the chosen test.
