The University of Kansas is pleased to offer the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship to students who have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.25 or higher.

Renowned for its academic excellence, the University of Kansas is a prestigious institution globally. It was established on March 21, 1865, and officially opened its doors in 1866. The university was granted a charter by the Kansas State Legislature in 1864, following legislation passed in 1863 under the State Constitution. It is located in Kansas, United States and is named after Saint Ignatius of Loyola.

Every year, the University of Kansas awards scholarships to welcome students to its campus. The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship serves as an opportunity for selected students to unlock new and improved prospects, exposing them to advanced learning in undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs.

To maintain the scholarship, recipients must complete a minimum of 30 KU credit hours each academic year and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher. This scholarship can be renewed for up to three years. Additionally, Phi Theta Kappa transfer students may be eligible to apply for additional scholarships offered by KU International Admissions and academic units. Students commencing their studies in the summer will receive their scholarships in the fall.

The University of Kansas USA Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships 2023 is open to applicants pursuing Undergraduate and Graduate level programs at the University of Kansas.

Available Subjects:

This scholarship program covers all subjects offered by the University of Kansas.

Scholarship Benefits:

Recipients of this award, which amounts to approximately $35,466 ($11,822 per year), will automatically receive the scholarship if they are members of Phi Theta Kappa and have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree. The scholarship is available to degree-seeking students attending KU for the first time.

Eligible Nationalities:

Applicants of all nationalities are eligible.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:

– Have a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
– Have completed 24 transferable college credit hours, with the last 12 earned at a U.S. community college.

Application Procedure:

To apply for the scholarship, students must complete the admission application by May 1 for the fall semester or December 1 for the spring semester. They must also submit an official transcript by June 30 for the fall semester or January 6 for the spring semester. Additionally, a PTK Membership Verification Form must be submitted by the student’s advisor no later than July 1.
