The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a meticulously selective, last-resort scholarship tailored for exceptional minority high school seniors who come from low-income households. Annually, this scholarship is granted to exceptional student leaders, with the primary goal of enabling them to reach their utmost potential.

The Gates Scholarship (TGS) Program | PARTICULARS
Selected scholars will receive funding to cover the entire cost of attendance that remains uncovered by other financial aid and the anticipated family contribution, which is determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or the methodology employed by the scholar’s chosen college or university.
The cost of attendance encompasses tuition, fees, accommodation, meals, books, transportation, and may encompass additional personal expenses.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants are expected to meet the following requirements for The Gates Scholarship (TGS) Program for both Domestic and International Students:
A current high school senior.
Belonging to at least one of the following ethnicities: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American.
Eligible for Pell Grants.
A United States citizen, national, or permanent resident.
Maintaining good academic standing with a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
Furthermore, the student must intend to enroll full-time in a four-year degree program at a US-accredited, nonprofit, private or public college or university.
For American Indian/Alaska Native applicants, proof of tribal enrollment will be necessary.
Ideal Candidate
An exemplary candidate should exhibit the following qualities:
An exceptional academic record during high school (ranking within the top 10% of their graduating class).
Demonstrated leadership skills (evident through participation in community service, extracurricular activities, or other engagements).
