Eligibility Criteria for Yousriya Loza-Sawiris Scholarship 2024:

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the scholarship:

Possess a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a reputable academic institution in a related field.
Demonstrate at least two years of work experience in the development sector.
Fulfill the entry requirements for the academic MDP program.
Display a strong professional and academic track record.
Scholarships are awarded based on both financial need and merit, as evidenced by academic achievements, extracurricular involvement, and social behavior.
While a specific academic background is not mandatory, students with a solid foundation in liberal arts and robust quantitative and analytical skills will be well-prepared for success at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
Applicants should be Egyptian nationals residing in Egypt (preference is not given to dual nationality holders).
Previous coursework in mathematics, statistics, and economics is recommended.
Proficiency in English is a requirement. A valid TOEFL or IELTS score, taken within two years of the graduate program’s start date, is necessary. Minimum required scores: 100 (TOEFL internet-based, with a minimum of 22 in each section) or 7 (IELTS, with a minimum of 7 in each section).

Application Process:

Copy of National ID
Copy of National ID of the guarantor (the person responsible for signing the contract with the accepted student, usually a family member)

Transcripts from both undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) studies

Two letters of recommendation
One personal photograph
HR letter from current employer, including salary information or salary slip, or a bank statement in case of unemployment.
